Tap Into Your Creative Self

I'm taking a course now, and the story of why is a story for another day. In the meantime, someone in the course shared this video on her blog, and thought I would pass it along to see if it inspires others. Let me know.

  1. Interesting video, thanks for sharing! I would have to say that I agree with the notion that what we think is obvious is just brilliant to others. Its no secret that we are always our own harshest critics. If I had a dollar for every time I heard my mother say, "if you could just see yourself through my eyes", I would be a rich woman. I remember when I was younger having what I perceived to be a bad hair day would be just beautiful to her. In the end, we find that there is no reality but, only perception and our own perceptions of ourselves will always be skewed. The bottom line is, we are never able to recognize the beauty, intellect or greatness that lies within until we are validated. Validation by others it what tells us we were "in the know" or "on the right track" to begin with. What seems like a painfully obvious idea probably is, to us....that is, until we release it and it is validated.

  2. I agree with this interesting video! I feel like what we think is not so creative or interesting others may find as brilliant.

  3. What a wonderful video! I found it inspiring. Not only did it make me feel better about my thinking, but I believe it would be useful to share in the classroom. Sometimes students don't recognize their talents and this would encourage them to believe in themselves.
